Credit Card Debt: Is any of those credit debt company any good?

    I was wonder, are all those credit debt company a rib-off?They just want your money and do nothing really for you? They all say that they can cut your debt in half?
    If you know of any good solid credit debt company that you would recommend please let me know.

    This website http://www.debt-tips.com/review-debtshield.html claims that debtshield is good i.e. the money goes into your own personal account, not one that is controlled by them. The fees are spread out over the period and you can quit at any time. I don't remember now, but i think their is another company on that site that looked solid and it was out of cali. As you may have already read on this site, you can settle with these companies yourself if you can come up with lump sums; just take at look at the articles on debt settlement.
