    Hi, I have student loan debts in NZ (maybe 40k NZ dollars), with inland revenue, and owing the bank 1k overdraft and nearly 1k on my credit card (it was a student credit, its nearly maxed out at 1k).

    I am living in Europe now because I live here with my husband. What should I do? If I file for bankrupcy, will any debt collectors harrass me? They have my address, the bank and the ird.

    Should I file yet or wait till they ask me for the money or wait until it goes into collection?

    I'm not sure. Do you plan on moving back to NZ? If not, is there really any way they can do anything to you in Europe?
