Bill O’Reilly calls Mr. T a “Boy” on The Factor

Even in this hypersensitive insane racially charged atmosphere we call reality, Bill O’Reilly still manages to call Mr. T a “Boy” on his show moments ago.  Mr. T was on to defend his commercial for the candy bar Snickers which was pulled for ‘homosexual insensitivity’ from British television. The “Boy” comment is a little after the four minute mark.

Mr. T went on to defend the commercial as non-homophobic and that the guy in the video is a speed walker.  In the process of T pleading his case on The Factor, Bill says ”I believe ya Boy”.  In other words “I get it… you can stop defending yourself now”…

I guess I was just a little surprised to hear Bill O’Reilly refer to an adult male, not to mention an international star as “Boy”…

I’m sure O’Reilly meant nothing by the incident but it was still amusing to witness Bill produce this spontaneous faux pas…

Bill O did not call Mr. T the cruel racial slang “boy”. Quit playing with commas. Boy! (Did I just call you a ‘boy’?)

When was the last time you heard Bill O’Reilly refer to a guest as “Boy”? It was a first for me… Like I said it was a faux pas but a noticeable one. Why do you feel the need to take up for O’Reilly when I didn’t present it in a negative manner?

It was not a ‘faux pas’, boy.
It was not a ‘faux pas’. Boy!

I agree you are not presenting it in a negative manner - kind of like ESPN’s coverage of Roger Clemens.

I’ve never heard Bill call a guest a “boy” before, but I’ve heard him say “boy!” lots of times. I’ve also heard him say “man!”, & “wow”. These are exclamations - a little on the innocuous side, but nevertheless exclamations. Regrettable that the exclamation he chose is one that could be so easily taken out of context.

Come on boys/Boys!!! Don’t you think this could have been a fruedian slip on Bill’s part? Like maybe his authoritative DNA was shining through?

  6.   Rory Says:

No fruedian slip on your part - your transparency has been revealed in your last posting.

You lost some of that ‘fair & balanced’ stuff in your original article, which by the way is titled, Bill O’Reilly calls Mr. T a “Boy” on The Factor.

I draw a distinction between casually noticing something, & your intimations.

By the way, name me a “faux pas” that ISN’T noticeable.

Rory I’m hurt by your words… perhaps if my intelligence and objectivness was on par with yours I’d do a better job at ‘hiding’ my intentions. But I’ve enjoyed the thread - thanks for commenting!!

    alas…
