Unless you are mentally or physically handicapped... don't tell me that you can't get a job. Granted, you might not get the job you want but jobs are plentiful for people who actually need money and are willing to work. If you cannot pay, and you aren't really eligible for bankruptcy... then dealing with debt collectors for the next ten years can be a problem of its own. Also, at least half of employers now perform a credit check before hiring someone I believe. So it matters...
